Hi, I'm Philippa and I'm a UK-based humanistic psychotherapist. I offer trauma-informed psychotherapy to help you develop your understanding of yourself and make change feel possible. I believe that high quality therapy means having a space to be fully yourself and includes warmth, authenticity and humour!

With over 20 years experience of working in mental health, in both the NHS and the private sector, I am uniquely placed to help you navigate challenges and find contentment. I work with many issues, including anxiety, depression, bereavement and trauma. I also specialise in disordered eating and body image difficulties if this is something you struggle with.

Have a look around and, if you're ready to move forward, book a free introductory phone call.  This is an opportunity to see if we are a good fit, for you to ask any questions and get a sense of the way I work.

Sometimes, we can find that we are struggling to cope with our thoughts, feelings or experiences. We may be experiencing a difficult life event, such as the death of a loved one, or perhaps find ourselves stuck in a pattern of behaviour we wish we could change.  We may be experiencing complex feelings that are hard to understand or just have a general sense of satisfaction with how our life is.

Therapy is a way of understanding the way we feel, think and behave.  As our awareness of ourselves develops so does the opportunity to decide if there is something we want to change or grow to accept.

I am based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and available to work face to face or online using Zoom. Please note that if you have limited mobility, my practice room is up a flight of stairs.
